| Over 1,300 Pints of Blood Lost State-Wide by March Storms |
| Due to blood drive cancellations resulting from this weekend’s snow storm and decreased donor turnout, officials of the American Red Cross, Northern Ohio Blood Services Region are appealing to area residents to donate blood at scheduled drives for the remainder of this month. In total, 800 units of blood have been lost due to local cancelled blood drives in the month of March, and over 1,300 throughout the entire state of Ohio. Upwards of 3,900 Ohio patients could be affected due to lost pints. |

| Blood and Platelet Donors are Inducted into the 2007 Blood Donor Hall of Fame |
| Over the years, the Northern Ohio Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross has seen many of the same faces donate blood and platelets on a regular basis. On March 27, 2007 we recognized our dedicated donors; most who have spent an entire lifetime helping to make our community a healthier place to live. They have given so many people in need another chance at life a thousand times over, and for that, we honor and induct them into the American Red Cross Blood Donor Hall of Fame. | Ken Bombalicki, a dedicated northern Ohio donor, completed his 400th apheresis donation in October 2004, some 20 years after beginning donating in honor of a friend's child diagnosed with cancer. |
