Critical Blood Shortage Due To Low Donor Turnout
The Northern Ohio Region of the American Red Cross is facing alarmingly low blood levels and is struggling to meet the requests of local hospitals. Low inventories across the country prevent other Red Cross regions from providing assistance. Eligible blood and platelet donors are needed immediately.

Cleveland Browns 8th Annual Blood Drive – Mark Your Calendars!
Help save lives and donate blood on Saturday, July 26th from 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM during the 8th Annual Cleveland Browns Dr. Charles Drew Blood Drive. Donate at the Cleveland Browns Training Camp in Berea or at a location near you. All who come to donate will receive a free Browns T-shirt and a chance to win Browns collectible memorabilia! All who come to donate will also receive a “Buy one ticket get one ticket free” voucher to the Browns vs. Jets game on August 7th. Mark your calendar to donate!

“Gas For a Year” – 2008 Summer Sweepstakes
Donating blood often takes a back seat to other summer activities. By offering an incentive that people need, the American Red Cross hopes more blood and platelet donors who can, will find the time to give this summer and help avoid a shortage. Come to donate blood or platelets from June 1 – September 1, 2008 for a chance to win one of five $500 gas cards or the grand prize, “Gas For a Year”.

Red Cross Building a New Generation of Leaders
The Northern Ohio Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross has new youth representation on its advisory board thanks to the pilot program recently conducted by the Red Cross and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
